Building Leadership through Soccer
Coach Roethe is entering his eighth year as Head Coach of the Divine Savior Holy Angels High School soccer program. During this time his teams have accomplished the following:

State Championships: 2008, 2009, 2014
Coach Roethe has received both NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year and State Coach of the Year honors during his eight-year tenure at DSHA. He has helped develop numerous players through DSHA’s soccer program that have continued playing at the Division I & 2 college levels.
Besides coaching high school, Coach Roethe is also involved with coaching in the Olympic Development Program and has helped develop both regional and national team members. Coach Roethe currently holds a USSF National “B” License.
Coach Kyle Lance is one of the founders of Cream City Soccer Academy. Along with Coach Kevin, they have created an extraordinary opportunity and program for the youngest soccer player.
Lance graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2004, where he was recruited by current Marquette University Men’s Soccer Coach Louis Bennett. Lance earned his bachelor’s degree in education and currently holds his teaching license in the state of Wisconsin.
At UWM, Lance sits second all-time in career assists (30) and second all-time in games played (86). Named to the Horizon League All Newcomer Team after the 2000 season, Lance went on to earn Second Team All Horizon League in 2001 and First Team All Horizon League in 2003. Lance was also named to the All Horizon League Tournament Team in 2002 and named MVP in 2003.
Lance played an intricate role as a winger for the Panthers, helping the team to 3 NCAA appearances, making the 2nd round twice. UWM also captured three regular season Horizon League Championships and two Horizon League Tournament titles during his four years as a Panther.
In 2008, Lance helped the Bavarian Soccer Club to an Amateur National Championship with the club’s major team and in 2009 signed his first professional contract with the Chicago Storm of the MISL. After one season with Chicago, Lance signed and played two years with the Milwaukee Wave, being crowned regular season champions in 2010 and winning the MISL Championship in 2011.
After hanging up his boots, Lance had great success as an assistant coach at Marquette University High School (boys) and at Divine Savior Holy Angles (girls) varsity programs. At MUHS, (08-12) Lance helped the varsity program to four division 1 Wisconsin State Championships. During that same time, he helped guide the Divine Savior Holy Angels (girls) from 08-12 to two division 1 Wisconsin State Championships. Kyle has also started working with the WI ODP Program in 2012 as a state staff coach. Coach Kyle has his USSF National “B” Coaching License.
Since 2012, Coach Kyle has been working as Brookfield Soccer Association’s rec. soccer, Director of Coaching. At BSA, Coach Kyle is a resource for the rec. coaches, teams and families, as well as is a stepping stone for players moving through the BSA program from rec. soccer to academy and finally select.
